The Travellers were a Canadian folk-rock band which formed in 1953 at a camp near Brampton, Ontario. Renowned American folk singer, Pete Seeger was a regular visitor to the camp and encouraged the group.
The band was productive through the years of 1954 to 1961 during which they released 16 albums and appeared CBC-TV musical programs. Canadian songs such as "This Land is Your Land" was a major part of their repertoire, which also included other Canadian folk songs, protest songs, children's songs and international tunes.
